Twice a year the Elite Boardroom leaves the screen and sits at one table. This November it's Hobart. The room holds sixteen, and twelve owners are already confirmed. Two days working on each other's businesses, then an optional third at MoNA. Seats aren't sold. Members are invited, and the seat is included in membership at no extra cost.
Join before 31 October and you're in the room.

The room at our last mastermind. Sydney, June 2026.

The value of a mastermind is who's in it, so here's the room you'd be walking into. Documentary makers and corporate studios. Live-event and broadcast operators. Education and sports video specialists. Most run their companies across Australia; the wider Boardroom reaches the UK, Germany and the US. In scale they run from owner-operators past the $150K baseline to studios past seven figures. Some have been in the room five and six years. Others joined in the last few months. Four seats remain, and the only way to one of them is membership.
Different niches, same climb. Every one of them has sat where you're sitting, and at least one of them is two steps past your current problem.
Filmed at a previous VBA in-person mastermind.
The idea goes back to Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich: two or more business owners in one room, working for the betterment of everyone in it. Your business is on the table, and so is everyone else's.
The twelve owners already in the room run the same kind of company you do. They take your problem apart, and you do the same for theirs.

Sydney mastermind, June 2026. Working days, and what happens around them.
People always ask what we do on the day. The room sets the agenda. Each owner reports in on the last twelve months: where the business was strong, where it leaked, what the numbers say. Then we build the days around what's actually on the table, across team, systems, growth strategy and targets. The structure is light on purpose. The work isn't.
Fly in whenever suits. Nothing is scheduled, so if you land early there's a city worth walking around. Most of the room is in by the evening.
9:00 start in the classroom at the Mövenpick Hotel Hobart, through to about 5:00, lunch included. Each owner reports in on the last twelve months, the real numbers go up, and we work the businesses in turn. Dinner together that night.
More of the room, same hours. Day two also takes stock of AI: what's changed since the last workshop, what members have actually deployed, and what's worth your time against what isn't. Dinner together again.
An early start across the Derwent by ferry to the Museum of Old and New Art. Lunch together, and we're done about 2:00, in time for an afternoon flight. Fly out on the Wednesday evening instead if you'd rather.

You fly home with your next twelve months worked over by people who run the same kind of business, and who'll still be on the weekly call when you report back on it. That's the difference between a plan and a plan with witnesses.
Dinner is booked for both nights and Den hosts. It's included, along with lunch on both working days. You book your own flights and hotel.
Worth saying plainly, because a lot of the value turns up here. The thing someone wouldn't put on the table in front of the room at 11am tends to come out over dinner. Some of these members have been in the room five and six years, and the relationships outlast any single session.

The setting: the Mövenpick Hobart's boardroom for days one and two, the city around it, and the dinners we take together.
Join VBA Elite now and the build starts the week you join: the deep diagnostic runs on your own numbers, we get you clear on your strategy, and your plan is drafted before you ever get on the plane. Then Hobart does what only a room can do: work the details, with twelve owners and Den around one table.
The diagnostic runs in your first 48 hours as a member. Your numbers analysed, your market and offer clear, your strategy on paper. That work is done before you get on the plane.
Two days working the details of that plan with people who run the same kind of business: team, systems, growth strategy, targets. Owners who've seen your problem from the inside, not theorised about it.
You fly home with the next twelve months mapped and a weekly Boardroom that holds you to it. Clarity, camaraderie, and a clear plan for what to do next.

Dinner both nights, and the shop talk that comes with it. Nobody has to perform.
Seven attendees, on camera, unprompted. Every single one answered with some version of the same thing.
"Nothing beats being in the room with other people."
"You can't do this stuff alone."
"There's a special secret sauce to actually being there in the room."
"The power of being in a room of like-minded people."
"Being within a group, the group mindset, being around video business owners."
"The act of doing it is almost more powerful than the topic that you come to study."
"Being in the room with the guys, hearing that we are all in the same boat."
"If you run a video production agency, it's a pretty lonely business. Being in a room with 12 other peers where there's no egos, we're not competing against each other, we're just sharing the knowledge, our challenges, our wins. Nothing beats being in the room with other people."
